Pie!

So Far...

I've made...

2 bowls of cereal.

2 bowls of popcorn.

4 sets of carrots with ranch dip.

6 refills of Kool-Aid.

and it's only 10:00am. And that's only with Logan and Vincent home. Tomorrow Arwen begins her summer vacation.

Southern Cooking

Breaded and pan fried Pork Chops
Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
Mac n' Cheese
Fried Okra

If that isn't a southern dinner, I don't know what is. This got me to thinking, what kind of meals do you prepare in your home? I challenge you to take a picture and share what kind of meals you and your family enjoy around the dinner table.

P.S. All of the things on my table, down to the gravy, are homemade (with the exception of the Mac and Cheese, which is Logan's favorite).

Candycane Cocoa!!!

When Dayna sent me Kris Kringle, she also sent a pack of THIS cocoa. I just drank it and had to stop myself short of licking the mug! So delicious and tasty! The best cocoa I've ever had in my life, hands down. The candy cane is so delicate against the chocolate. If you have any mini marshmellows (I had a few) just add them in too.

Recovering with Pumpkin Ice Cream

I'm recovering. I'm sore all over and not making it out of the bed often. Which brings me to my most recent trip to the fridge. The awesome ice cream pictured above.

Without a doubt, my favorite ice cream in the world. Tastes just like homemade pumpkin pie. I'm so hooked and that is a bad thing since this is Limited Edition.

So back to bed for me, with my delicious ice cream in tow. I'm going to have to find a recipe for this stuff or I'm going to go mad when it runs out.

Pumpkin Spice Jello Mini Pies!

I admit it, I'm a pumpkin fanatic. I've stocked up on pumpkin spice coffee and creamer and when I saw this I couldn't resist bringing it home.

The first thing I made is so simple.

~Mix Jello mix as directed on box.

~Add cinnamon/pumpkin spice to taste, if desired.

~Place Jello mix into mini graham cracker crusts.

~Refrigerate for at least one hour. For best results (and a thicker pie) refrigerate 2-3 hours.

~Remove to serve, top with whipped topping.

~Sprinkle top with cinnamon.

Serve and Enjoy!

This was a hit in my house (something not easily done with my picky eaters) and was so easy. I'm going to make a pie for Thanksgiving to share with family, it's that good!
