I called this morning, we start beginner's lessons next week on Thursday! Our first dance to learn is the Swing. I'm also considering giving the Cha Cha a go (I love that dance but it's rather difficult to get that 'hip' action)

ReplyDeleteSo one day, in a burst of temporary sanity and bravado - I signed up for a semester long course that taught English (Swing, Triple time swing and Foxtrot) and Latin (Cha-Cha, Merengue and Salsa) rhythms.
Of course, I woke up the next day and my mind was screaming "what the hell did you do that for!!" Too late! Deadline to resign/drop classes has passed.
So with much trepidation, I went....
.... and I had a BLAST! It was sooo much fun! So much fun infact, that I've been busy scouring the neighborhood for similar areas to go to.
I love ballroom dancing :-) (count me out of that 'bump n grind' they do in clubs).
Swing is awesome! Have fun!
